With the PlayStation Store closed for virtual renovations the last month -- it's reopened now -- only Microsoft's Xbox Marketplace and Nintendo's Virtual Console offered up any new downloadable games. That's good news and bad news on the competition front; a few good games came available... and a few lousy ones.

Chris Hudak and a gaggle of other game journalists were recently treated to a trip to Vegas under the auspices of Midway and the "Gamer's Day" event that allowed said journos a sneak peak at several forthcoming Midway games. Ironically, they weren't actually in Vegas per se, but at least one game, made up for it.
