Nintendo Media Summit: Low-key, no martinis, too much sushi
Nintendo DS, Wii
The Nintendo Media Summit, recently held in San Francisco, went something like this: I fit, you fit, we all fit for Wii Fit and a buttload of other gaming goodness. No booze though, much to Chris Hudak's chagrin, but he stuck it out and filed this report nonetheless.
Nintendo Media Summit: Hands-on Fit, Guitar, Kart, Eat, more
Nintendo DS, Wii
At the San Francisco leg of Nintendo's Media Summit, Evergeek's Chris Hudak and Emily Balistrieri spent some low-key hands-on time with many forthcoming Nintendo games, some obvious A-listers like Wii Fit and Rock Band, plus some typically surreal Nintendo gems-in-waiting, like Major League Eating: The Game. You read that right.
Nintendo leads, Brawl rules March
Nintendo DS, Wii
Funny, but there are industry analysts trying to go against the grain by suggesting the Nintendo has "peaked," that the House of Mario can't possibly sustain its current hotcakes sales streak. Makes for alluring headlines, but then Nintendo goes ahead and breaks a few more sales records.
THQ Editor's Day by the Bay: Pixar, WALL-E, booze, de Blobs
Nintendo DS, PlayStation 3, PlayStation Portable, Wii, Windows PC, Xbox 360
THQ's recent media showcase blitz included first an off-the-chart Wrestlemania / Disney World extravaganza in Florida, then a slightly more controlled shindig in San Francisco. Chris Hudak was on hand for both, the latter including hands-on, stupefyingly-secure time with several forthcoming THQ games.
THQ Editor's Day Disney World: Wrestlemania-mania
Mobile, Nintendo DS, PlayStation 2, PlayStation 3, PlayStation Portable, Television, Wii, Xbox 360
Powerhouse game developer and publisher THQ recently treated the games media to a habitually extravagant 'Editor's Day' -- two of them, in fact. The first was in Disney World Florida, replete with appropriately surreal Westlemania-meets-Walt-Disney shenanigans and Chris Hudak on hand to take it all in.

Guitar Hero on DS? Sure, why not?
Nintendo DS
At last, you can stand up on the bus prove once and for all that you are a true hero of guitarist proportions. Of course, lots of passengers will think you're nuts, but what do they know? Aside from the three digit number to the police station...
Capcom unveils forthcoming games at 'Digital Day 2008'
Nintendo DS, PlayStation 3, PlayStation Portable, Wii, Windows PC, Xbox 360
Last week, both the press and select members of the gaming community were invited to Capcom's US headquarters in San Mateo, California for a hands-on sneak peak at a fistful of forthcoming games. Chris Hudak was there and managed to stay both alert and sober (the latter only because the event was uncharacteristically dry).
Mystery Dungeon: Shiren the Wanderer
Nintendo DS
Don't let Mystery Dungeon's brightly-colored, superdeformed, non-threatening, Zelda-esque, top-down presentation (on your still-shiny DS) lull you into a false sense of security: This game is an old-school wolf in new-school sheep's clothing, and it is out to kick your ass. The only question is, do you deserve it?
