THQ's recent media showcase blitz included first an off-the-chart Wrestlemania / Disney World extravaganza in Florida, then a slightly more controlled shindig in San Francisco. Chris Hudak was on hand for both, the latter including hands-on, stupefyingly-secure time with several forthcoming THQ games.

Powerhouse game developer and publisher THQ recently treated the games media to a habitually extravagant 'Editor's Day' -- two of them, in fact. The first was in Disney World Florida, replete with appropriately surreal Westlemania-meets-Walt-Disney shenanigans and Chris Hudak on hand to take it all in.

The National Academy of Video Game Testers and Reviewers Corp. (NAViGaTR) just announced the winners for 7th annual NAViGaTR awards. Bioshock won the most awards in the academy's history while Shigeru Miyamoto usurped Dan Houser for most awards to date.

Last week, both the press and select members of the gaming community were invited to Capcom's US headquarters in San Mateo, California for a hands-on sneak peak at a fistful of forthcoming games. Chris Hudak was there and managed to stay both alert and sober (the latter only because the event was uncharacteristically dry).

Nintendo just announced that the hotly anticipated chortling fathead racing game, Mario Kart Wii for Nintendo Wii, will ship with a Wii Wheel steering peripheral, leaving the field wide open for all sorts of bad puns; Wii Wiieel, Wiivel Kniievel, and so on and isn't that fun?
